LMR house a range of fixed and sliding head lathes with Y-Axis and Live Tooling capabilities, allowing us to offer precision turned components. With a 250mm diameter capacity and being able to turn lengths up to 450mm, this gives us the capability to machine various sized gears, shafts, and all other relevant components in the gear manufacturing industry, in all different materials from plastics and aluminium alloys, steels, stainless and exotics.

When it comes to accuracy and repeatability, our Swiss-type sliding head machines allows us to offer unparalleled precision and speed on small, tight tolerance complex components. With a bar capacity of up to 25mm diameter, we can produce high accuracy gears and associated parts with confidence, even running ‘lights-out’ on those high-volume production runs.

All of this is backed by SolidWorks and Fusion360, allowing us to model and programme those tricky parts. In addition to this, we also offer a drawing service, where only a sample is available or drawings no longer exist, for our customers piece of mind when ordering parts in the future.
